Agri Inputs Manager

Job Description:

The Agri Inputs Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, sourcing, and distribution of essential agricultural inputs. These inputs include seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, machinery, and other resources necessary for crop cultivation. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure seamless operations and optimal outcomes for the state / branch.

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Generation & Conversion:
  1. Develop comprehensive monthly, yearly, and long-term sales plans for the Seeds, Agchem and Fertilizer categories.
  2. Collaborate closely with the ground sales team to ensure effective implementation of sales strategies at the ground level execution.
  3. Develop strategies to supply tailored product offerings in the inputs space.
  4. Acquire and retain customers (FPOs).
  5. Plan on-ground activities to engage farmers and create awareness & demand for products.
  6. Foster strong relationships with local distributors.
  7. Stakeholder Management:
  1. Engage with multiple stakeholders (farmers, FPOs) to understand local requirements.
  2. Ensure the timely order placement, funds collections, order fulfilment to the FPOs/Retailers.
  3. Coordinate with Branch finance, Sales Channel, SCM team to ensure timely deliveries.
  4. Team Management:
  1. Lead, guide, and motivate the on-ground sales team and FPOs.
  2. Ensure achievement of financial and growth targets.
  3. Strengthen the team’s product knowledge and sales skills.
  4. Partnership Management and Product Development:
  1. Nurture strategic partnerships with Agri Inputs companies in India.
  2. Negotiate product allocations and pricing terms in coordination with Category team
  3. Provide recommendation for product development with Partner companies
  4. Strong connect with Trade partners & Distributors in the state

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. BSc. / MSc. In Agriculture, preferred with MBA
  2. Minimum 5-7 years of sales & Marketing experience in the “Agri Inputs” industry.
  3. Strong interpersonal skills to manage internal & external stakeholders
  4. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing product categories.
  5. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
  6. Effective communication and leadership capabilities.
  7. Nature of job is Hybrid (Office & Travel), preferred inclination towards travel
