Purpose of Job
\nAchieve the Milk Procurement Targets of the assigned catchment(s) through implementation of
\nAction Plans, active monitoring of various field level dynamics analyzing performance of support
\nfield staff, supporting extension service based initiatives & providing feedback. Market intelligence
\n\/ research, supply chain management etc., executing the sourcing plan and customer relationship
\nmanagement.
\nKey Responsibility Areas
\n\uf0b7 Execution on Annual Action Plan for expanding milk procurement network by identifying &
\nactivating new Milk Producer Group (MPGs)
\n\uf0b7 Ensure reach of services to maximum number of local dairy producers through active
\nenrolment & induction of farmers into MPGs
\n\uf0b7 Actively work on minimising cost quota by optimising the field level logistics, cold chain
\nbased collections and improving milk volume
\n\uf0b7 Monitoring of Extension Service actives being implemented in the assigned catchment with
\nthe help with NGO based support staff\/ Veterinary Executives
\n\uf0b7
\n\uf0b7 Ensure proper execution of Farmer Connect Programmes by driving awareness and better
\npractices in order to improve yields.
\n\uf0b7 Prepare Monthly Action Plan for the assignment catchment as per the targets set in Annual
\nAction plan
\nInterface with Internal \/ External Organisation
\n\uf0b7 .Interface with Partner NGOs
\n\uf0b7 Interface with all external stakeholders and vendors associated with the Dairy Business.
\nPerformance analysis & feedback
\n\uf0b7 Should actively monitor the performance of the assigned catchment\/ zone against the
\nparameters set in monthly\/ annual plan \u2013 with capacity to understand the reason behind
\ndeviations, if any, and suggest suitable corrective action
\n\uf0b7 Highlight various deviations in performance through active monitoring of performance
\nindicators vis-\u00e0-vis sanctioned plan figures, reasons for the gap, provide feedback on
\nperformance improvement and follow up on the suggestions given for its improvement
\nCapability Building
\n\uf0b7 Provide real time field training to support staff, especially field supervisors, to ensure
\nproper execution of Action Plan and adherence to defined standards & practices
\n\uf0b7 Identify training need requirements of support staff and recommend it further
\nReports & Documentation
\n\uf0b7 Ensure active capturing all Procurement & Costs related Data and Reports as required by
\nBusiness at MPG & BMC level and ensure communication\/ submission of the samewithin
\nspecified timelines.
\nMarket Research \/ Intelligence
\n\uf0b7 Ensure proper tracking of competitor\u2019s activities, including their market\/ surplus share at
\nfield level
\n\uf0b7 Actively monitor the prices\/ schemes being provided by the competitors and, if required,
\nsuggest changes in existing internal pricing mechanism\/ structure to counter act the same
\nProcurement and Supply Chain Management
\n\uf0b7 Create and Maintain robust system of milk collection (through MPGs), quality assurance and
\ndelivery plan in accordance with Business requirements and Annual Action Plan.
\n\uf0b7 Ensure that other costs of procurement such as inward transportation cost, BMC chilling
\ncost etc. are monitored with fixed periodicity and controlled to remain with the sanctioned
\nlimits
\n\uf0b7 Ensure capturing of proper records, accounts of milk dispatched and received at
\ndestination, transition losses, cost of transportation and chilling at BMC level.
\nCustomer Relationship Management
\n\uf0b7 Should be capable of organising farmer meetings and handling large farmer gatherings to
\npromote various aspects of procurement services provided by the organisation
\nShould be capable of handling & addressing issues of farmers with keen interest in understanding
\nthe root cause of the issue at handPersonal profiling
\n\uf0b7 3 to 7 years of experience in Milk Procurement and Dairy Industry in any reputed
\norganization.
\n\uf0b7 Strong knowledge of Dairy Business and Livestock Management \u2013 having in depth
\nknowledge on capacity building activities for village based institutions\/ dairy farmers
\n\uf0b7 Willing to work in Rural environment and travel extensively
\n\uf0b7 Highly self-motivated and demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
\n\uf0b7 Demonstrated ability to work well with people from a variety of backgrounds.
\n\uf0b7 Basic written and verbal communication skills (with sufficient understanding of Hindi &
\nEnglish language)
\n\uf0b7 Basic Computer skills \u2013 suitable proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel etc.

\nAMUL, Nestle, Hutson, Mother Dairy, State level Dairy Cooperativesetc
